Once the introduction is over, it's important to stay tuned into your cat's reactions, enthusiasm and comfort levels. It may take time to explore the type of play your cat prefers most. Many cats enjoy the interplay between slow/deliberate and quick/spontaneous movements. |

Using gentle reposition, some cats enjoy playing on their sides or backs which allows them to implement instinctual moves, such as: bunny kicks, bear hugs, biting etc. A "push and pull" technique like using a yo-yo allows the cat to feel on the offensive and defensive; allowing the cat to lead in this situation will result in a longer play session. |
