My cat pumpkin has an insane prey drive and this toy is exactly what he needed so that he could let out his energy without attacking his meeker cousins. He love it so much but I wish the material of the actual cat plushy was thicker because my boy has a crazy bite. That being said he has not but through the material yet and I don’t have a scrape on me, but it does hurt from time to time.
I think this is a great toy; it's fun to use, and she has grown accustomed to it over time. At first, she was afraid of it, a little. But now I hold it up, and she intuitively knows what to do; she wrestles and kicks it. It’s so hilarious.
I am glad I purchased the official toy from your website, rather than something from a third-party supplier, because you can really risk injury with this toy. I can see that a lot of thought was put into protecting both the user and the cat.
However, here are a few things that could be improved. The right side of the wiskers fell off almost immediately after first use. I think those are important for the cat to feel like it’s real, so there should be a better way to secure them to the toy.
Secondly, the back of the head and parts of the body still allow for my cat's sharp claws to penetrate and poke my hand, and given how aggressive she gets with the toy, I have to take extra precautions. She has learned that it is for scratching and biting, while my actual hand is for petting and not to be bitten or scratched, so it has been a good training tool, too. This toy has helped her release her kitty aggression while also tiring her out, as she is just over a year old and still has that kitten energy. I just think the things I addressed above could be improved.
Recieved in a few days as promised. Easy unpack. Placed Catsumo on a table in dining room. My cat appeared about 15 seconds later My guy is older, but he rolled and hugged on Catsumo for a while, went to his water dish for a drink, then went back to snuggling the doll and fell asleep smiling.
Sleeve fit me comfortably, once my fingers were in their spots it felt secure. Thickness and resilience of the product seems adequate to protect as long as the cat is still playing, haha!
